Our Commitment

In our recipe

Hellmann’s® was founded on the principle of real, simple, ingredients. Staying true to this commitment, we’ve simplified the recipe for our ½ the Fat mayonnaise-type dressing.

We’ve added 100% Canadian free-run eggs. Only locally sourced eggs from free-run hens are now part of Hellmann’s® ½ the Fat mayonnaise-type dressing.

We’ve removed ingredients you can’t pronounce. Xantham Gum, Phosporic Acid and Beta Carotene are no longer in Hellmann’s® ½ the Fat mayonnaise-type dressing. Wherever possible we choose ingredients derived from natural sources.

In our community

The Real Food Movement celebrates every aspect of real food. Where it comes from, how it grows and how you can enjoy it. From day one, this initiative set out to create change we can all be a part of.

Hellmann’s® Real Food Grants celebrates the people who are making real strides for real food. Research showed that 92% of Canadians with kids feel that consuming real food is important. With this in mind, we launched the grant program to help families and kids who are leading movements, like school trips to local farms or launching seasonal food festivals.
